The first time I visited Saint Michael’s College, I had a feeling on campus that I didn’t have at other schools. There was a sense of community that I knew I wanted to be a part of. As my mom and I were walking around campus by ourselves, we met a priest, Father Mike, who offered to give us a tour! I loved everything about the school, from the beautiful brick buildings to the bagel shop in the student center. It’s always been a dream of mine to be in the Peace Corps and travel the world! I found there to be a service aspect at St. Mike’s that was unmatched. Between MOVE and the Peace Corps Preps Program I knew that St. Mike’s was the perfect fit for me. The cherry on top was finding out that my own priest, Father Tom from St. Edmund’s Church in Mystic, was previously the head of the Campus Ministry at St. Mike’s. I love the Edmundite mission and the dedication to service and it’s something I really want to have in my college experience. I feel like Saint Michael’s College is the perfect place for me to grow, both academically and spiritually.
