St. Michael’s is a great match for me and what I’m hoping to experience during my college years. It’s my hope to attend a small to medium size college in the New England area and pursue a liberal arts education.
Many of the schools that I’m interested in preach values and programs similar to the Edmundite tradition. During my tour I learned that a high percentage of students volunteer both on and off campus, and that Saint Michael’s practiced what it preached, putting the Edmundite values of meaningful residential experiences, comprehensive liberal arts education, and social justice into action.
While my research brought me to believe that SMC would be a great fit for me, it wasn’t until I actually stepped foot on campus, drove around the surrounding area, took the campus tour and attended the open house that I felt so sure that SMC would be perfect for me.
During my visit I learned from current students about the small class sizes, the commitment of the professors, and experienced first-hand the energy and vibrant student body. I also got a great recommendation from a good friend of mine and current freshmen, Alex Craven.
I know that if I’m able to attend SMC I will get a great liberal arts education and gain the tools needed to succeed after graduation. Everything about Saint Mike’s feel right to me, and I know that SMC has everything I’m looking for and that I’m a good for SMC as well.
